If all the broken glass in Bogotá
came to a point
and held itself together
with fine lead at every joint,
and the glow that tints the clouds
in the dark of night
came in close and shone straight through that glass
in one tremendous light,
and if every siren, engine, horn
all were rearranged
in just one joyful symphony,
now that would be a change.
