There is so much to do before Thanksgiving:
laundry and cleaning and dishes to bake,
papers to scan and meals to eat,
items for discussion and plans to make.
There is so much to do before Thanksgiving–
so much action among the ranks.
So much to do, but I refuse
to do it before giving thanks.
